Now, after humanity has rejected God’s kindness for millennia, and only now, the dam of God’s patience breaks, and judgment floods the earth. Paul’s warning is fulfilled: “Because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when His righteous judgment will be revealed”. The wrath that comes only underlines the grace of God, for now we see what human sin and unwillingness to repent has always deserved.
