Now we find, somewhat surprisingly, that the battle described in Revelation 19 is followed by a period of a thousand years. Satan is “locked and sealed” in the Abyss, to “keep him from deceiving the nations anymore” until the thousand years end. Тhere is a “first resurrection” at which believers killed during the time of terror and the Antichrist’s rule are given new life. Then, after the thousand years of Christ’s rule on earth, Satan is released from his prison, and the final battle is fought.
