This section of Scripture takes us into the saddest days of history. With Judas’s help the nation’s leaders completed their plot to kill the Son of God. But these days are also the greatest days on earth for Jesus. He has accomplished his life mission, and he confirmed to the Twelve that they will carry on his global mission. So with them he establishes his new Passover to supersede the old Passover.
