The death of Jesus by crucifixion is without question the most famous death in all history. It was a very grisly method of execution. Cicero affirmed that ‘this most cruel and terrible punishment’ was so degrading that it should not even be discussed by Roman citizens. It was reserved for the lowest of the low, our King and Messiah.
